Spring Inspiration with Stephanie of Beaux Mondes

POSTED March 27th, 2015

Spring has officially arrived, and while I haven’t rid my closet of its layers just yet, I’ve happily welcomed some new pieces that will transition seamlessly from winter to spring. I love a classic trench coat. This Babaton trench has a slouchy fit making the silhouette feel fresh this season. Culottes are a must-have pant in my spring line-up. The cinched waist and voluminous leg give them a chic shape. Plus they pair so well with heels, flats or sneakers. I’ll be styling these 424 Fifth culottes with a leather flat for an easy, effortless look. The other look I’ll be wearing this season is a crop top with a streamlined skirt. It’s a statement piece for sure, but this polished style by BCBG would look great for a night out.

Style Approved Rain Boots

POSTED March 24th, 2015

As excited as many of us are to ditch the freezing temps, we now face the next hurdle of Canadian weather: April’s showers. Dressing for rainy weather can be just as tricky as dressing for -40 temps so we’ve scoured Mapleview Centre for the latest rain boots which are sure to add to your outfit, rather than detract. This season we’re loving bold hues and patterns to offset pastel and cream-coloured trenches and outerwear. Don’t be afraid to have some fun!

Statement Making Scarves

POSTED March 18th, 2015

With warm-weather on the horizon, you may find yourself switching up your outerwear from big, bulky parkas to more manageable pieces like leather jackets, blazers or trench coats. While accessorizing, we love an airy wrap which doubles as a layering piece for chillier spring days and a great staple to inject some statement making patterns to your wardrobe. Consider the popular windowpane print or a botanical inspired motif for a feminine touch.

Sneak Peek at Spring

POSTED March 11th, 2015

With spring weeks away, we know you’re itching to roll out the new purchases you’ve been hiding in your closet thanks to this deep freeze. With a fresh month and warmer temps on the horizon, I wanted to share a look with you that I plan on wearing during this tricky transitional period. I am loving the menswear inspired waistcoat for spring/summer and it doubles as a great layering item on cooler days. With minimalism reigning strong this season, consider adding pops of colour to your wardrobe with a fresh pair of pumps or a statement-making clutch.
