• Previous successful experience in management capacity is required.

Visual Specialist

• Partners with management teams in analyzing department trends and inventory levels. Recommends appropriate visual presentation changes to increase sales.
• Supporting the management team in the training and development of Associates in visual store standards through the use of the Visual Presentation tools and other related resources.
• Maintains the visual presentation of the store by:
  - Merchandising product on the sales floor by following the written standards provided by the Visual Presentation Department.
  - Ensuring the store’s appearance by following housekeeping standards and training others on Visual Presentation.
  - Utilizing proper signage for windows and displays throughout the store as per Home Office instructions and Visual Guidelines.
• Communicates with the Regional Visual Specialist by:
  - Sharing, discussing and testing new ideas on a regular basis.
  - Presenting new ideas in written memo, report or instructional format.
  - Creating and implementing new Visual concepts with the support of the Visual and Signage department.
• Develops personally by attending workshops, regularly shopping the competition and trying new visual concepts.  
• Keeps up to date on fashion trends through the use of magazines and product knowledge information.  
• Shares knowledge with all appropriate stakeholders.
• Acts in a manner consistent with Division philosophies (customer service, mission statement).
• Helps ensure the profitability of the store by knowing and utilizing Customer Service standards and POS functions.
• Must possess strong visual presentation skills previously demonstrated in a creative retail environment.
• Demonstrated ability to provide superior customer service.
• Ability to effectively communicate and the ability to provide leadership to other associates.

The Keyholder is a full or part-time Associate who is responsible for assisting the store management with the operations of the store and for maintaining full responsibility of the store in the absence of the Store Manager or Assistant Manager. This role is a stepping-stone to the role of Assistant Manager. Initiative is a key factor in the success of this position.

Responsibilities:

·        In the Store Manager's absence, sets store and sales goals for staff daily and motivates the staff to attain high goals in sales and productivity in assigned tasks.

·        Demonstrates exemplary sales skills and setting an example for all other Associates.

·        Supports the Store Manager by ensuring that communication regarding sales, promotions and daily tasks are clearly communicated and understood by the staff.

·        Support the Store Manager in the execution of administrative duties accurately and in a timely manner

·        Ensures that customer loyalty is built and maintained by providing the ultimate shopping experience and by resolving most customer issues or complaints smoothly at store level in a timely and positive manner.

·        Believe and live the Spirit of Roots with attitude and a healthy company image at all times.

·        Ensure that the store is visually appealing and achieves company standards through product presentation, managing quality and care, replenishment, store housekeeping and maintenance and visual displays.

Qualifications
