Upgrading Your Unmentionables

POSTED May 26th, 2015

With the influx of spring weather, it seems like every woman knows it’s time to revamp the wardrobe, change up your beauty regimen and book your pedicure for sandal season. All of these transitional habits are fun but sometimes it’s the little things that can make you feel refreshed. A matching pair of bra and undies, a cute robe or even a fun sleeping mask is the perfect pick-me-up this spring. Here are some of our favourite unmentionables we’d love to add to our boudoir.

Transitioning Your Beauty Routine for Spring

POSTED May 20th, 2015

The spring weather not only brings a change to your wardrobe but a beauty change up is also a must! Ditch the darks and brighten up your morning routine with these fun additions to your regimen. Whether you’re a 5-minute and under kind of gal or have some prep time to primp, there’s a tip for everyone in today’s post!

1. Prep those puckers: Winter can often leave a harsh effect on your lips so get to moisturizing with the Lip Balm #1 by Kiehl’s, $10

2. Get your Glow On: Create that coveted ‘dewy’ effect with the perfect luminizer from Sephora, $36

3. Spritz on Spring: Spritz on spring with this floral infused perfume by Chloe, $25

4. Bring on the Bronzer: Oh yes, it’s that of time of year again to bring on the bronzer. This compact from Tarte is matte, waterproof and packs a punch with Vitamin A and E. Tarte Bronzer, $30

5. Pull out the Primer: With warmer temps and sunshine filled days, it’s likely that a glistening glow (aka sweat) is bound to find you. Using a primer helps offer your makeup more mileage throughout the day eliminating the need to touch up with Smashbox Photo Finish Primer Water, $32

6. Ditch the Foundation: It’s time to ditch the layers and a heavy foundation. Consider switching to a CC Cream like this one from Sephora, $26. We love that this product also packs an SPF20 for extra protection

7. Switch up your Shade: A bright new lip colour can often inject some new life into your routine. We love Saint Germain by MAC $19

Cool Culottes

POSTED May 14th, 2015

I know a lot of women have their reservations about culottes for this season. They certainly can be a daunting trend but before you pass up on this style, just hear me out first! This style of pant can actually work to showcase the smallest point of your figure if the pants sit at the right part of your natural waist and are paired with a slim fitting tee (as seen here). I tend to prefer more free-flowing culottes since it almost mimics a midi skirt, which many find to be a suitable style for their figure. If a pattern is daunting, consider a solid pair first and expand from there. Give this style a trend for yourself this season – you may just be surprised!

Tina Hat, Banana Republic, $62 Culottes, Forever 21, $27 TRF High-Heel Sandals, Zara, $49 Kate Spade, The Bay, $58 Steve Madden, Town Shoes, $39 Michael Kors, The Bay, $300 Garage, $14.95
